I must admit that there are just days that cooking can be a chore. When all I want to do is sit and eat, have my my steaming cup of chicken tinola minus the fuzz and kitchen work. In GenSan, there’s one place I always go – Piyesta! Located at Robinson’s Place, the place is very convenient for me to go to. With the different Pinoy dishes offered, Piyesta satisfies whatever my craving is. Fellow blogger, Ate Jinky and I, fondly calls it our kitchen at Robinsons. Should you find yourself in General Santos City and want to meet some bloggers, this is the place to eat.
It’s quite funny that in the many times I’ve eaten at Piyesta, I have not really taken a picture of me or of the food. I did get some pictures last month when I dined with fellow breeders. They had this new set of seafood dishes consisting of tuna tail, squid, shrimps and kinilaw. We were about to eat, when Avel and Orman at the other table (mind you, they were on the other side of the room) reminded me to take pictures! I think they would have pinched my ears if I hadn’t taken a picture first! Hehe.. So here’s what we had…
This was a delicious dinner, good food and a great time to catch up with friends from IRRI.  Each part of the menu was absolutely delicious,  succulent tuna tail, perfectly grilled squid (hey, no need to bring out your camping grills), and crispy friend shrimps. And it’s about time I took the picture, this feature is long overdue.
Piyesta is located at the al fresco dining side of Robinson’s Place, General Santos. Tel # (083)5542139.
