A scientist in the kitchen is my foray into food blogging. I’m a molecular biology major about to finish my PhD. I love to cook and it helps me relax away from the lab. Science and cooking? You bet!

Laboratory = Kitchen

Chemicals/enzymes = Food ingredients

Protcols = Recipes

Pipettors = Cooking utensils

Lab gown = Apron

Burner = Stove

Vortex mixer = Food mixer

Agarose gel = Jell-o

    Looking forward to reading your blog. I’m a fan of science and cooking and Pinoy to boot: so all in all your blogs a great place. Don’t know if you’ve ever watched Alton Brown on the Food Network – he’s also one of the host on American Iron Chef. He’s the American king of Food Science. I wish we could find a source of his DVD’s or shows here in Manila. Maraming Salamat.
