And now for the meme…

Food blogs come in many interesting names. I got the inspiration for my blog name from my profession (or hope to be) hence A scientist in the kitchen. Another blog inspired by her profession is Laws of the Kitchen by Cakelaw. And what do you know, she goes by the name of Gaye as well! She tagged me with this meme, “Five things about me” and here’s my list.

1. By now you have heard of the Doomsday Vault or the Svalberg Seed Vault. And has seen this picture from media reports. Well, Box no. 1 is from the international organization I work for.

2. Football/soccer is my favorite sport. I still play the game twice a week with a team of soccer enthusiasts. I used to be the only girl in the team but eventually convinced my friends to learn the game. These days we have a ladies’ team and once or twice a year, we join tournaments. Our opponents are usually college varsity teams.

3. I used to teach college biology right after my BS though I had to stop to get into graduate school full time. I hope to go back to teaching someday.

4. I prefer mountains than beaches.

5. In high school, I had a dog named Pasta.

PS- I seldom go to the cinemas these days, perhaps once a year or not, not even for the popcorn. Got to look at those popcorn machines and get me one, so I can enjoy popcorn, without going to the moviehouses :)
